1.  What is your biggest concern about being stuck in a car with Amy for 4.5 weeks?

stuck sounds bad. after all, it was my idea to invite her…oh, wait. (seriously, couldn’t have picked anyone i’d rather have as my partner in crime on this once in a lifetime adventure.)

concerns:

• the reaction to likely at&t dead zones
• crooners and jason mraz

2. Which city/town are you most looking forward to visiting on the trip?

portlandia. i hope they put a bird on it.

3. What is one food that you are excited to try?

tough one. as much delicious vegetarian food as i can find in seattle, portland, california, santa fe, and austin (i know i’ll have so many options). i also promise to try at least one thing at the minnesota state fair. 

the bigger challenge will be eating creatively in south dakota.

4. What is the number one landmark you want to see?

whether it’s really considered a “landmark” or not, big sur. and all its beauty. 

5. Which is worse: hitchhiking or pushing your car along the highway in the desert?

first off, todd (the subaru) will not fail us. 

however, in the spirit of playing along, i’ll bite. pushing. desert. worse. hands down. it’s hot in the desert. and i’m too sweet and could likely melt. secondly, we both have fair skin and could be risking much more than exhaustion by choosing this option. lastly, hitchhiking could be fun! we have mace and all. (kidding mom and dad…about the “fun” part – not about the “mace” part.)
